Robin Yocum was a reporter for the Columbus Dispatch and is the author of the non-fiction book, Dead Before Deadline, written about his 4-year stint as a police reporter. In his first novel, Favorite Sons, Yocum explores how childhood secrets can lead to adult tragedies. With a swift narrative and compelling characters, this story set in an Ohio steel-mill town that has seen better days, makes for a remarkable debut. Yocum has won more than 25 awards for his writing, and is a frequent contributor to several magazines. He lives in Columbus.
