Pen and Tell It!
Pen and Tell It! will be back next Fall!

We just wrapped up our 2011 Pen and Tell It! classes but have no fear, they'll return in fall of 2012 with new teachers, topics and even more fun! Check back in August to see what we have in store or to be added to our email or mailing list, please contact Amanda Lutze at alutze@thurberhouse.org. If you have any questions about education programs, please contact Meg Brown at megbrown@thurberhouse.org.
A little background on Pen and Tell It!:
Pen and Tell It! is a one day workshop where students get a more hands-on, in-depth look into a specific genre of writing. In the past we've used superheroes in humor writing, whodunit cases to learn and write mysteries, and we've even looked in sports writing, nonfiction and sci-fi this past year! Each session is for 4th-6th graders and runs from 1-3:30 p.m. and ends with parent sharing from 3:30-4:00 p.m. where you can share what you created and celebrate with some light refreshments. Classes take place at Thurber Center, 91 Jefferson Ave., and are limited to 20 students on a first come, first served basis. Each session is a stand-alone, so you can sign up for just one or as many as you would like.
