Charlene Fix is a professor of literature and creative writing at the Columbus College of Art and Design, and an award-winning, published poet. In her newest book, Harpo Marx as Trickster, she strikes off in a fascinating new direction, inviting readers to get to know that most illusive of the Marx Brothers, Harpo. Throughout history, in folklore, myth and legend, tricksters have held a special part in people’s lives and in their hearts. In photos and words, Harpo’s trickster persona is spotlighted in each Marx Brother film, demonstrating his affinity for mischief and magic - and revealing the traits of the true trickster who can be hiding in plain sight - within you!
The deadline to buy dinner tickets to the Charlene Fix Picnic is Monday, August 5 by 4 p.m.
